Ghazni is an important city of Afghanistan. Connects Kabul to the south and west. Ghazni, which was the capital of the Ghaznavi Empire in the Middle Ages, was spread far and wide in the Indian subcontinent. The Taliban made Ghazni the center of the occupation of Afghanistan. Taliban fighters set up schools in Arzoo village near Ghazni. Now the elders of the village are also helping to repair the schools riddled with bullets. Hands are rising to shape the Afghan future.

  • Josh Kayam: A family of 22 people, including my children and grandchildren, used to live here, says elderly Mohammad Akram. After the Taliban left Arzoo village, we are engaged in repair work. Everyone is cooperating. Engaged with enthusiasm.
  • Massive tragedy: Now only 2 thousand people are left in Arju village which once had 10 thousand people. Haji Shahadullah of the village says that 40 villagers lost their lives and 60 were injured in the Taliban attack. Two children were among the dead.
